So over the past month or two, I have had a problem with letting God be in control over my life because I was afraid that I would not get the results I wanted. However, it seems that God is faithful and he does deliver in much better ways than you could ever imagine. Thank you, God.

Over the past couple of years I have rounded up some verses that have helped me through many troubles. Some, however are just for encouragement. There not really in any order……..

Yesterday we arrived in Florida at around 8:45. Unfortunately, for me at least. I’m back from Haiti, a trip with a couple of bumps, but sadly I’m back. It was a really great trip and I’ll be sure to post more on it because there is just so much to tell.

Tomorrow I am leaving for Haiti with 32 other people. I don’t have much to say, other than that I am crazy excited about it. We will be there from the 12th to the 17th.

Amidst all of the long nights of homework and stressful days that will most likely shorten my life span. My class gets to go to the beach on Friday for the second time in a row, since some of us are intelligent and don’t get into as much trouble as the other classes. Finally a break, and of course there is the trip to Haiti on Thursday of next week and we will be there for a week!

Last night we had our annual church Haiti fundraiser dinner that we have had for the past three years before we leave to Haiti. We had a great turnout with about a 100 or more people and everyone had a great time, especially since we had to serve them. I’m pretty sure our whole team even had fun doing it. After the dinner everyone seemed to have a great time at the talent show with everyone doing great presentations. In the end we raised over $3800, only with the help of God could we have done it!

The night of the Super Bowl, Victory Life Church is hosting a Super Bowl Party in the youth room with three TVs, games and much more, the cost is $5 for food and drinks. You can learn more about the youth group here. More about the night here.
